Freshmen/Sophomores: Applications for the NC Space Grant Undergraduate
Scholarship Program are now open. Each year NC Space Grant awards $1,000
scholarships to entering freshman and sophomore students who plan on
pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics
(STEM) and are attending its member institutions.
Applications are evaluated based upon the student's academic achievement,
letter of recommendation, and exhibited leadership qualities. For more
information go to: http://www.ncspacegrant.org/fs/s2/
Juniors/Seniors: Each year NC Space Grant awards undergraduate research
scholarships to students who are pursuing careers in science, technology,
engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and are attending its member
institutions. This competitively awarded program engages the future STEM
workforce in basic and/or applied aero/space-related research projects and
facilitates the development of mentor relationships between students,
faculty and the NASA community.
Applications are evaluated based upon the student's academic achievement,
quality of proposed research project, letter of recommendation from their
research mentor, and exhibited leadership qualities. For more information
visit: http://www.ncspacegrant.org/fs/s1/
NASA summer internship applications are also open. Students who are
interested in NASA or other federal or industry internships should apply
to these programs directly through the NASA field center website. NC Space
Grant may provide supplementary funding to support these experiences.
Students MUST complete an application, however, for either a Graduate
Research Fellowship or Undergraduate Research Scholarship in order to be
eligible for these supplementary funds. Information on specific internship
opportunities at NASA Centers can be found at the following website:
