Each year NC Space Grant awards $1,000 undergraduate scholarships to 
students attending its member institutions who are pursuing careers 
in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). At the 
end of the academic year scholarship recipients submit a final 
research report detailing the aero/space-related research and 
education that is conducted on their campus.  To be eligible for this 
award students must be university freshman, sophomores, or 
transferring from a community college during the 2006-07 academic year.

Applications are evaluated based upon the students academic 
achievement, letter of recommendation, and exhibited leadership qualities.

Applications are open to rising freshman, rising sophomores and 
community college transfer students.
