Subject: [NCSG Faculty] NASA Senior Design Project Grants Available

Dear Faculty,

North Carolina Space Grant anticipates supporting three student teams from
its member institutions to participate in the NASA Exploration Systems
Mission Directorate (ESMD) Senior Design Project. Engineering students in
senior design classes may apply.

The maximum award available per student design team is $2,000.  Funds can
be used to support student senior engineering design projects (i.e., to
buy materials, build prototypes, etc.) or to bring in subject matter
experts to consult with the students. Equipment purchases are not allowed.
Projects must be chosen from the list found on the ESMD Space Grant
Program website:

Subject: [NCSG Faculty] AIAA Undergraduate Team Space Design Competition

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) has
announced a design competition for undergraduate teams. The topic is
?Design of an Integrated Crew Health Care System for Lunar Outpost
Missions.?

Diagnostic tools will be utilized as part the health care system in
long-term missions to the moon. Student teams are invited to submit
proposals directed at identification of critical, technical problem areas.

Submission of projects that are part of class requirements is encouraged,
