The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) is sponsoring the Team America
Rocketry Challenge. The Team America Rocketry Challenge, the world’s
largest rocket contest, was created in 2002 to encourage middle and high
school students to study math and science and pursue careers in aerospace.
This year’s challenge is to design, build, and fly a one-stage model
rocket carrying two raw eggs to an altitude of 750 feet, keep it aloft for
45 seconds and return it safely to the ground with the 2 raw eggs
unbroken. Registration begins September 5, 2007 and is open to all US
schools and non-profit youth organizations. To register and sign up for
exciting updates, visit http://www.rocketcontest.org
